I chose Mightybytes because I knew that with them I would have a partner, not a vendor. They care about what I am doing—my vision and my purpose.

Kelly O'Brien Founder Ideaction Corps

This Certified B Corp called Mightybytes to help them facilitate connections between impact-driven organizations and people passionate about creating positive social and environmental change. Here’s how we helped them meet their goals.

To explore how best to facilitate the most meaningful connections, Mightybytes worked with the Ideaction Corps team to identify primary user types through a series of discovery workshops. After initial user research, Mightybytes recommended a website that focused on two user types:

  1. Changemakers at impact organizations like nonprofits and other social enterprises.
  2. Individuals looking to work on impact-driven projects.

We focused information architecture efforts and user flows on easily connecting these two parties and identified different content types that would be engaging to these user types.

Facilitating Connections

The new Ideaction Corps site makes it easy for organizational members to find Corps members with certain skills based on project needs. We also designed member profile pages that incorporate individual branding elements while maintaining the look and feel of the Ideaction Corps site. An award-winning visual design showcases Ideaction Corps’ knack for connecting talented, socially minded creatives with companies with great ideas. The result was a site that looks great across a variety of devices from tablets to high-resolution desktop screens.

A People- and Planet-Friendly Website

The site follows Sustainable Web Design principles and is hosted on servers powered by renewable energy. Pages load quickly regardless of the device they’re viewed on. At launch, the site scored a 92 on Google PageSpeed, a tool which measures website speed and performance, and a 91 on Mightybytes’ own web sustainability measurement tool, Ecograder. In addition to being speedy and easy-to-use, the site won several design awards as well.
