Education

at Mightybytes

Shared learning is a cornerstone of an equitable and more sustainable future. We can’t navigate the challenges ahead without it. Plus, barriers to information access and opportunities drive inequality and widen the digital divide.

Every product, service, and decision at Mightybytes is measured not only by profit but also by the real social and environmental change it creates. The results of this measurement guide how we grow, reinvest, and share value with all our stakeholders.

If we want a better future, we need to dare to imagine better means of education—a metaphorical forest school that empowers us to break out of the neat rows we have been planted in and rewild our minds. An education that makes our minds more creative, abundant, and resilient.

Community

Co-creating digital solutions that address real-world educational challenges promotes trust, collaboration, and equitable access to information.

Our company is designed around several impact business models, including one for education. To achieve this, we fold educational components and shared learning opportunities into every project.

Workshops

We offer collaborative, interactive workshops that help clients meet their goals while educating teams on more responsible and sustainable digital practices such as web sustainability, data privacy, security, and inclusive design.

Training

We incorporate training materials into every project to help project stakeholders improve skills and governance and build capacity over time.

We speak at conferences and events around the world about responsible and more sustainable digital practices in business, AI, and product/service design.

What This Means

For You

Folding educational initiatives into how we deliver value brings a variety of benefits to organizations we work with.

Speed-to-Value

By coupling education with prioritization cycles on projects, we’re often able to reduce production timelines for faster launches.

Information Access

We lower barriers to access by making important content publicly available via our blog, in free webinars, and via other channels.

Sustainability

An ongoing commitment to continuous education and improvement also drives long-term sustainability.

Risk

By folding accessibility, sustainability, and responsible digital practices into projects, client organizations reduce risk.

Resilience

By improving governance through education, client teams strengthen organizational resilience to better navigate disruption.

Resources

Educating project stakeholders also supports using less material resources over time as teams improve governance and capacity.

Creating Collective Impact

As co-authors of the World Wide Web Consortium’s Web Sustainability Guidelines, we have contributed to an educational roadmap to help you find digital success while supporting global impact frameworks like the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals and the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).

Standards

Alignment

Mightybytes’ education initiatives align with new B Corp standards for certification and the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals in the following ways.

U.N. Sustainable Development Goals

We support the following U.N. Sustainable Development Goals through this work.

B Corp Standards

We target compliance in all impact areas of new B Corp certification standards for a company of our size. An ongoing commitment to continuous improvement is baked into these new standards.

Using Our Business for Good

As a Certified B Corp, Mightybytes measures our success not only by profit, but also by the social, economic, and environmental impact of our work.

Our B Corp Impact Hub describes the company’s educational commitments and enables real-time reporting on progress against goals.

Responsible

Technology

By aligning our work with an impact‑focused business model, Mightybytes creates opportunities to improve skills and capacity for our stakeholders. This is critical if we want design and technology to solve society’s problems rather than create them.
