Code of Conduct
Read the Code of Conduct below to understand how Mightybytes creates collective action and enforces accountability and transparency through our supply chain.
Responsible Partnerships
Through our partnerships, Mightybytes takes collective action needed to create the change we seek—a web that works better for people and planet and a thriving Impact Economy.
Purpose
This document exists to set clear expectations for all suppliers and partners who provide products, services, or otherwise support our agency. We want to ensure our collaborations are ethical, secure, sustainable, and aligned with our values as a Certified B Corp.
Our Purchasing Commitments
Mightybytes has made the following purchasing commitments which are published in our company handbook:
- Prioritize B Corps: Whenever possible, we work with and purchase from fellow B Corps first. When a B Corp is not available, we will next look for a more ethical and responsible option.
- Sustainability & inclusion first: We will always choose the most environmentally-friendly and more inclusive option first in purchasing decisions unless it is prohibitive and beyond our resources to do so.
- Ethical alternatives: When more sustainable options are not available, we look for a viable ethical alternative.
- Continuous learning & improvement: We focus on continuous improvement in all stakeholder-driven decision-making.
- Energy-efficient hardware: The company prioritizes purchasing hardware products with Energy Star or EPEAT ratings.
- Recycled content: Mightybytes purchases products that contain recyclable or compostable content when possible.
- Local first: We purchase from neighborhood or local suppliers whenever feasible and from B Corps whenever possible.
- Representation: We give preference to suppliers owned by women, minorities, and other underrepresented communities.
A full list of Mightybytes’ commitments can be found in our company Code of Ethics and on our B Corp Impact Hub.
