Macku Sushi is contemporary Japanese cuisine dining located in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood. Mightybytes designed and implemented the web site for this restaurant about which reviewer Pat Bruno says "the Macku Chan clan definitely has it when it comes to sushi." Chef/Owner Macku Chan, brother Kaze and cousin Hari have led inspired Japanese cuisine for 15 years in Chicago. At Macku, every dish has a unified intention and  a clear vision, defined by a unique palette of ingredients, textures and flavors.

Wildlife conservation is a cause of great importance to us, so when Chicago Zoological Society asked Mightybytes to create an animated holiday card for the organization and their main attraction The Brookfield Zoo, we jumped at the opportunity. Keeping in line with the organization's partnership with Polar Bears International, the greeting featured live polar bear footage nestled within animated holiday-themed graphics and was distributed to an audience of over 200,000 people.

When the Art Institute of Chicago opened The Modern Wing with a gala benefit that featured performances by Project Bandaloop and Taiko Project, Mightybytes was there to catch the performances in full HD glory. The Modern Wing's opening made the Art Institute the second largest art museum in the United States and the opening gala was a citywide news event. The 264,000 square foot building was designed by Pritzker Prize–winning architect Renzo Piano. Mightybytes worked with longtime collaborators Jam Events and producer Eric Geist to bring this project to life.

Chicago arts organizations have a new web resource for sharing audience engagement techniques through the Arts Engagement Exchange, a pilot social site that helps members collaborate using social and digital media best practices. Our clients at the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Chicago Community Trust, partners in AEE, wanted a site that offers forums, community profiles, events, and a blog that features guest writers covering various ways of using digital technology to better connect with audiences. The site is a blueprint for building potential similar resources in other thriving arts communities. AEE focuses on growing art audiences, supporting arts organizations and staff via knowledge share and resources now online.

Explore Chicago is the city's official tourism site and in preparation for a busy summer season, the Office of Tourism hired Mightybytes to create two animated interactive activities to foster site engagement, retain users, and share valuable information on city attractions. The Neighborhood Express takes you on a train ride to a different city neighborhood every time you ride it while Picture Yourself in Chicago lets users design custom avatars and place them in neighborhood postcards to share with friends or on their favorite social sites.

Picture Yourself in Chicago was the recipient of a 2009 W3 Award from the International Academy of Visual Arts.

A comprehensive resource guide for Chicago's classical music community, the Chicago Classical Music site includes collaborative blogs, an events calendar, audio samples, hot ticket deals, news and more. Mightybytes once again collaborated with our friends at Little Green Cube to bring this site to life.

Mightybytes provided the Educational Theatre Association with video production services for an all-day seminar on Directing for the Theater. Michigan Tech University's Roger Held facilitated an all day workshop for high school drama teachers that covered all the nuances that being a director of high school actors entails.

For several consecutive years Personal PAC, an Illinois-specific political action committee dedicated to the sole purpose of maintaining women's reproductive healthcare rights, turned to Mightybytes to create support videos and presentation graphics for their annual awards luncheons, which included appearances by singer Judy Collins, actor Amy Madigan, and then Senator Barack Obama. One of the videos was later repurposed into a fundraising DVD for Personal PAC's biking event, Choice Cycle 73.

With topics ranging from ethnic festivals and multicultural marketing to prejudice and stereotypes, interculturaltalk.org provides comprehensive online resources for discussing issues of race and multiculturalism. Shoss & Associates Strategic Marketing, Inc. hired Mightybytes to create a comfortable, yet intriguing site where readers of all ethnic backgrounds could come together to talk freely about their cultures. Mightybytes skinned an install of WordPress with a custom design template that reflected the client's sensibilities and needs for expansion over time. We also helped the company flesh out site content and outline opportunities for increased online visibility through social media strategies, SEO and online marketing efforts.

We revel in any chance we get to collaborate with Chicago-based educational development house Shakespeare Squared. Most recently, Mightybytes gave their company site a complete overhaul from front to back with a new front-end design scheme based on existing brand standards and a content managed administrative back-end.
