Mightybytes has received fourteen awards so far this year, including two American Web Design Awards, two Communicator Awards and three Hermes Creative Awards. Creative Shake Awards

Rack 'em up! Just on the heels of our recent Communicator Awards and McDougal Littell's Codie Award for a long-term interactive animation project we worked on, Mightybytes also recently won three PCom Creative Awards from the fifth annual awards show of the same name. According to the congratulatory email we received, "The PCom Creative Awards Show is an international awards competition that recognizes outstanding work in the communications field. Entries are judged by industry professionals who look for companies and individuals whose talent exceeds a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry."

All three of the awards were in the Web Design category. We received a bronze award for the The Neo-Futurists theater company site at neofuturists.org, which is the third award we have won for this site. We also picked up Merit awards for Barbara Kipper's site at blkipper.com and our own company site. Looks like we're going to need a bigger mantle.

Codie Awards Finalists

Posted by Whit Nelson in Awards, News

Two projects that Mightybytes played a part in have become finalists in this year's Codie Awards. Power Presentations from McDougal Littell and Rand McNally Classroom are two of five finalist entries as Best Social Studies Instructional Solution in the Education category.

The Codie Awards have been around for twenty-three years and celebrate achievement and vision in software, education and digital content. Winners will be announced on May 20, 2008 at an awards gala held at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco.

We are proud of the design and development roles we played in each project (see our portfolio for more details), but more importantly, our fingers are crossed on both hands that one of these two excellent products emerges a winner.

American Graphic Design Awards

Posted by Whit Nelson in Awards, News

Mightybytes was chosen from a pool of 10,000+ entries to be the proud recipient of four American Graphic Design Awards for recent Web and print projects. The three decade-old competition is presented by Graphic Design USA and sponsored exclusively by Adobe Systems Incorporated. It is open to everyone in the community: advertising agencies, graphic design firms, corporate, institutional and publishing inhouse departments, and more. It honors outstanding new work of all kinds: print and collateral, advertising and sales promotion, packaging and point-of-purchase, internet and interactive design, broadcast and motion graphics, corporate identity and logos.

The awards were presented for our work on sites for The Neo-Futurists, Grotto On State, our own site, and the new sign we have on our front door, printed for us by our friends at GFX International.

The work will be featured in the GDUSA Design Annual, which is seen by an audience of 100,000+ creative and marketing decisionmakers. We are thrilled to be recognized for our hard work and thankful to all the folks who put in long hours to make these projects worthy of such recognition.
