Panasonic AG-HMC150
by Tim Frick
Panasonic just announced the release of a new solid-state tapeless HD camera that capitalizes on the success of its popular DV-based AG-DVX100. We just replaced our DVX100 with the Sony PMW-EX1, also a solid-state tapeless HD camera. At nearly $3,000.00 less than the Sony camera (with a suggested list price of $3,995.00), I will be very curious to see how they stack up against each other. The magical tubes of the interwebz will no doubt be flooded with comparisons between the two models in the coming weeks. A full review of the camera can be found on the Digital Content Producer blog as well as at dv.com.
