Adobe MAX Roundup
by Tim Frick
I’ll start right off by saying this series of posts about Adobe MAX are loooong overdue. Yeah, I know. Bad blogger. The ‘to do’ list upon my return from San Francisco was daunting, to say the least, and unfortunately posting blog entries didn’t top that list, since we were so busy trying to wrap up projects, prepare for the onslaught of holiday madness, and wind down the year. In these trying economic times I’m certainly not going to complain about having too much work, so in the spirit of ‘better late than never’ here are a few interesting tidbits from this year’s conference.
MAX is always an inspiring geekfest, if you’re into that sort of thing. And I am. This year about five thousand designers, developers, video professionals and business owners converged on San Francisco’s Moscone Convention Center to share ideas, trade tips, and navigate the roadmap of where Adobe technology is headed for the coming year. I was one of those five thousand attendees and in addition to crazy networking and stuffing my face with too much Adobe-provided food like everyone else, spent the three conference days trying to soak up as much information as possible.
I covered events and announcements via my Twitter account as they unfolded and it’s virtually impossible to jot down everything here, so in the interest of keeping things short and sweet, I’ve compiled a brief list of the top five things I see most dramatically affecting our workflow and techniques over the coming year. To save space and eye strain, I’ve put each in their own post for better visual consistency.
