Terrible Spaceship Interactive Music and Video Show

As part of Chicago Artists Month, we are profiling Mightybytes folks on their artistic endeavors. Travis Chandler, James Johnston and Mightybytes alum Whit Nelson are all involved in Terrible Spaceship, an interactive band with live triggered cinematic shows behind them in a theater-esque performance, whose style is called ‘ambient synthetic horror pop.’ The next performance is Saturday, October 3rd at Martyrs on Lincoln Ave.

Chicago Artists Month

Take a closer look at art and artists in Chicago by joining the festivities of Chicago Artists Month, sponsored by the City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs.

This year’s theme is Chicago Artists Month 2.0, referring to Web 2.0 and highlighting the ways artists interact via technology to engage audiences, distribute their work, relate with each other, and share knowledge. Check out the featured artists, social media links, and October calendar of events on the CAM site. Highlights include open houses and studios, art walks, and over 200 events in locations around the city. Some of the featured artists exhibitions include ‘Art on Track’ where artist “Salvo converts an 8-car CTA train into the world’s largest mobile art gallery and transforms the Loop into a corridor of entertainment and culture.”
