After an idyllic childhood in Michigan, Kris relocated to Chicago in 1992 and the transplant seems to have taken. She spent 20 years in the travel business, culminating as Director of Operations at AmTrav, which has left her with a taste for exotic and lengthy vacations. She likes all things French, although she is not as proficient in it as she thinks. The books on her wish list are weighty intellectual tomes, but she secretly spends more time reading trashy novels. While her friends enjoy her storytelling proclivities, it must be noted that she is prone to exaggeration. Kris maintains the control tower of sanity for her friends’ wild flights of fancy. Her natural inclination is to manage everything in her immediate environment, and is excited to have found a place where she can allow those tendencies free rein.
