Drupal Presentation by Steve Persch Nov 18

What does drupal have to do with a fish in a blender, you ask?

Come find out at the Chicago Drupal Meetup. Our very own Steve Persch will present on the topic of “Using Multigroup in CCK 3.”

  • WHEN: November 18th, 2010
  • TIME: 7:00 PM
  • WHERE: Chicago, IL

Join Chicago Drupal MeetUp for location information and more info.

A new version of a classic Drupal module, the Content Construction Kit allows site builders to add fields to their content. The yet unofficial CCK 3 for Drupal 6 provides a great way to tie multiple fields together in repeating groups. This presentation will go over how to add a “Multigroup” to a content type and how to build Views with Multigroup.

You can find Steve throughout the Drupal ecosystem under the username stevector. Strike up a conversation at the Meetup by asking him why he recently built a site using Zen and four layers of subthemes, or why Mightybytes uses the same SVN repository for most of their Drupal projects. You can also just ask him to gush about Drush.

Chicago Drupal MeetUp, Nov. 18th Estimated Agenda:

  • 7:00 - Arrival and socialize
  • 7:10 - Drupalcon Chicago: Who, What, Where, When, Why, How?
  • 7:30 - Presentation: Fredric Mitchell - CTools and AJAX Cache
  • Break with Q&A
  • 8:15 - Presentation: Steve Persch - Using Multigroup in CCK 3
  • 9:15 - Q&A then beers next door?

Return on Engagement: 5-star reviews

Stars are fun. We like stars.

They are even more fun when four or five of them line up in a nice, tidy row, which is just what Return on Engagement: Content, Strategy and Design Techniques for Digital Marketing has been getting in the review section on Amazon. All these stars mean people reading Return on Engagement find it a valuable tool for online business and marketing efforts. We couldn’t be happier that marketers, web designers, digital enthusiasts, and industry pros all find helpful content within its pages.

Here’s what some folks are saying:

“The Social Media Marketing Guidebook…Social media is the new Marketing 2.0 and in Return on Engagement Tim Frick takes us on a crash-course in learning about how this relatively new method of engaging those we do business with works and how we can make the most of it.”
- Robert L. Stinnett

“...quick easy read book to help out non-technology related product managers understand the potential of multi-channel communications. This book fits the bill, it illustrates the basic concepts and what works and doesn’t work pretty well…”
- L. Rushton

Return on Engagement provides an excellent Return of Investment…The material is rich, varied, and dense, yet is provided in an easy to read and comprehend multi-media style format. It is an absolutely essential 5-star read for anyone with a website….”
- John P. Jones III

“This books gets you thinking and jotting down notes. All sections contain bullet points with relevant questions that you should answer during your planning stage…”
- Damian P. Gadal

Industry Reviews:

Return on Engagement has garnered some great industry reviews as well. Here are some examples:

“Tim Frick shows you how to grow your business by intelligently focusing on the important ways to reach your buyers.”
- David Meerman Scott, bestselling author of The New Rules of Marketing & PR

“...applies pragmatic, results-oriented marketing best practices to the wild west of content strategy and social media. Tim’s book will be a valuable asset to any organization wanting to quantify success from their investment in new media.”
- Kevin Potts, Creative Director and author of Web Design and Marketing Solutions

“Packed with useful information. A must have for any aspiring digital pro!”
-  Garin Kilpatrick, Author of The Social Media Strategy Guide and The Twitter Tools Book

“...For once, a book’s title actually matched the contents inside and I enjoyed the read…I will readily admit a few bits went over my head (I am no developer) but 99% of what I read in Return on Engagement was invaluable to me as I find the right way to run Flyover Geeks and communicate with our audience as best as possible. A great read and very useful to anyone starting a blog or launching a site for a new business.”
- Edward Domain, FlyoverGeeks.com review titled Return on Engagement by Tim Frick Gets it Right.

“...covers everything from navigation and color choices to social media optimization and what to do if someone trashes you on Yelp…a good reference for the aspiring digital media guru.”
- David Capece, Sparxoo.com review titled Return On Engagement: A Social Media Manual and blogger for Fast Company.

Thanks very much to all these great people who took the time to review the book and offer their valuable insights. We are thrilled with the reception the book is getting. If you have read Return on Engagement, we would love to hear what you think (yes, even if it’s bad).

Mightybytes has Moved!

On Sept. 14th, 2010 Mightybytes started a fresh new chapter in a fresh new space just a short walk up Clark Street from where we spent the last ten of our twelve years in business.

It's bigger, it's brighter, and the team from Zifkin Realty has done a great job rehabbing the space to our specifications. The move has offered us a great opportunity to become more sustainable with an eventual goal of becoming an eco-Andersonville certified green business like our new downstairs neighbors Big Jones Restaurant (they are also a certified Green Chicago Restaurant).

New Mightybytes Office location

NEW Location:

Mightybytes, Inc.
5347 N. Clark St., 2nd floor
Chicago, IL 60640

Phone remains the same: 773.561.7529
