2010 American Web Design Award

Our site for Macku Sushi is a winner of the 2010 American Web Design Awards. We think it’s pretty fresh ourselves too. The editors of Graphic Design USA sponsor this national competition which celebrates ‘the power of a well-designed site to attract audiences, communicate information, generate engagement and response, and market products and services.’ The emphasis is on visual design and aesthetics and one of the most important goals of the competition is ‘to trumpet the value of design to business and society.’

Mightybytes created the site to showcase the contemporary Japanese cuisine of Macku Sushi, where each dish has a unified intention and a clear vision, defined by a unique palette of ingredients, textures and flavors. The mouthwatering photography is by our friends at Andrews and Braddy

See more on this project in our portfolio.

Have a taste of Macku Sushi.

2010 Hermes Creative Award

Our website for AEE is a Gold Winner of Hermes Creative Awards, an international competition for creative professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of traditional and emerging media. Hermes Creative Awards recognizes outstanding work in the industry while promoting the philanthropic nature of marketing and communication professionals.

Hermes Awards are judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. As part of its mission, AMCP fosters and supports the efforts of creative professionals who contribute their unique talents to public service and charitable organizations. Hermes' prestigious Gold Award is presented to those entries judged to exceed the high standards of the industry norm. Approximately 18% of the entries received this award. The name Hermes (Greek messenger) and the idea for the award statuette were chosen to represent our roles as the messengers and creators of marketing and communication materials and programs.

Our work for Arts Engagement Exchange (AEE) includes website design and development, content and SEO development, and blog entries.

Platinum and Gold winners are listed on the Hermes Awards website.

The awards, which, according to their tagline, are "recognizing the power of web creativity", were chosen from a pool of nearly 3,000 entries.
