B Corporation

In summer 2011 Mightybytes joined the ranks of nearly 500 other companies in the United States that seek to affect positive social change by putting social and environmental responsibility at the heart of their corporate structure. We became a certified B Corporation (short for Benefit Corporation), only one of eleven (as of this writing) in Illinois. It’s an inspiring business model. Why don’t you join us?

Climate Ride

A bi-coastal bike ride that raises funds for over 30 different environmental organizations focusing on bicycle advocacy, clean energy, climate education, and sustainability, Climate Ride currently offers events on each coast: New York City to Washtington, DC and Fortuna to San Francisco, CA. During these events, cyclists ride anywhere from 50 to 100+ miles per day over the course of five days. Each cyclist must raise at least $2,400.00 to qualify for a ride. These funds are then distributed to a rider’s selection of up to 30 beneficiary organizations. In 2011, Mightybytes sent teams to Climate Rides on each coast and we raised $16,354.00 for the beneficiaries. Tim is a recently sworn in Climate Ride board member as well.
